As part of the “Where Do Your Parents Work?” initiative, on June 5, 2026, the PHF EU in Košice welcomed a group of young visitors who joined us to explore the magical world of banknotes.
On May 20, 2026, the PHF EU premises in Michalovce hosted an interactive lecture for high school students from the Eastern Slovakia region as part of the PHF EU Open Days (May 18 – May 29). The event focused on the topic of Modern Trends in Management and Economics.
On 14th of May 2026, the ceremonial evaluation of the competition organized by the Slovak Chamber of Tax Advisors – Regional Council Košice for the best master’s thesis in the field of taxation took place. As part of the competition, the thesis of Bc. Kristína Buríková, supervised by Ing. Adela Feranecová, PhD., achieved an excellent 3rd place. Congratulations!
The 30th faculty round of the Student Scientific and Professional Activities (ŠVOČ) at PHF EU in Bratislava was held on May 6, 2026.
On April 30, 2026, a scientific seminar for PhD students entitled “Labour Market and Employment in the Context of Current Socio-Economic Changes” was held at the Faculty of Business Economics, University of Economics in Bratislava, with seat in Košice.
On April 29, 2026, our students participated in a professional field trip to TPA Slovakia. During the visit, they gained valuable insights into the operations of various departments, specifically focusing on Audit and Tax.
The packed Chemkostav Arena in Michalovce, where students from the Pedagogical Department of PHF in Michalovce were also present, saw a dramatic handball duel for advancement to the final of the EHF European Cup on Sunday, April 26, 2026, right down to the last seconds of the match. The handball players of MŠK Iuventa Michalovce and our graduate Martina Popovcová managed a difficult semi-final rematch, when they defeated the Turkish Bursa Büyüksehir BSK 25:19 and after losing 29:34 in the first match, the difference of one goal was enough for them to advance to the final. They scored the advancing goal half a minute before the end, and so MŠK Iuventa Michalovce is in the final of the EHF European Cup for the second time in history, where their opponent will be the Spanish Atletico Guardes.
The Faculty of Business Economics of the Bratislava University of Economics and Business with seat in Košice participated on April 22, 2026, in the 3rd edition of the professional event Taxes from Above 2026, organized by the Faculty of Economics of the Technical University of Košice in cooperation with the Slovak Chamber of Tax Advisors.
