Information day for the first degree of study in the academic year 2020/2021
On February 6, 2020 (Michalovce) and February 7, 2020 (Košice), the academic community of FBE UE met again at the Information Days for the 1st degree of study, which attracted a higher number of people interested in studying compared to the previous period also due to increased communication intensity. with applicants for study on social networks. More than 2,000 applicants took part in the information day at the UE in Bratislava and Košice. A total of 283 applicants for studies at FBE UE in Košice and Michalovce were welcomed on the premises of the faculty by an organizational team composed of faculty staff and members of the Student Parliament of Economists (SPE). Presentations for the first degree of study were prepared for those interested, where, in addition to information about the admission procedure, they learned details about the offered study programs Economics and Business Management and Commercial Entrepreneurship, as well as unique study opportunities, including the 1st year of the all-Slovak Olympics of Business Manager.
The program for applicants was varied in Košice and Michalovce. Before and after the main part of the program in Košice, those interested could get to know the premises of the faculty, they even had the opportunity to participate in real consultations on external study and to participate in interactive games prepared for them by SPE. After being welcomed by the dean of the faculty, the vice-dean for education presented practical information on the admission procedure for the first degree, the vice-dean for faculty development and public relations informed students about unique study opportunities and especially about the Olympics of Business Manager organized by FBE UE as a nationwide competition in connection with the admission procedure. As part of the program, the vice-dean for international relations and informatization informed the applicants about the mobility offered. For applicants in Košice, we also included in the program an engaging lecture by Ing. Dalibor Cicman - currently an experienced entrepreneur who built a successful company GymBeam with nutritional supplements after graduating from FBE UE. This year, in addition to the information stand of the Study Department, the stands of partners Ryba Košice, Toyota Autolux Košice, T-Systems Slovakia and SPE were also prepared. In Michalovce, Ing. Martin Buršák from Syráreň Bel Slovensko told the applicants about the application of his experience gained by studying at FBE EU in practice.
Students and faculty staff deserve recognition for their positive mood, the provision of comprehensive information and friendly cooperation with the common goal of presenting our alma mater in the best light. We hope that FBE UE has provided high school participants with a wealth of valuable information and positive impressions that will help them make the right decision about the future direction of their studies. Compared to previous years, the interest of applicants in participating in the Information Day was greater, which we consider a good precondition for increasing the number of students at FBE UE Košice, as well as at the Pedagogical Workplace in Michalovce.
