Compulsory module

The aim of the course is to acquire knowledge in the field of international business with emphasis on the development of internationalization activities of the company, the development of critical thinking and pragmatic skills in the application of selected methods of international strategic decision-making.

Brief module description

Students will gain insight into the international business environment, its factors, trends, and the competitive advantages of each country. They will learn how the internationalization of business takes place and what decision-making processes are behind entering foreign markets, including exports and the movement of know-how. They will learn about capital inputs, foreign direct investment and the creation of international strategic partnerships. Students will understand various international strategies, organizational structures of multinational companies, and the principles of human resource management in a global context. The final part will focus on doing business in different national cultures, the ethics of international business and the operation of multinational and transnational companies in Slovakia.
