Brief module description
The course focuses on the functioning of a retail unit, different types of outlets, and their roles in the national economy. Students will learn to work with the retail marketing mix, including assortment, pricing, personnel, and the design of the store’s interior and exterior. They will acquire skills in merchandising, category management, and gain an understanding of consumer decision‑making processes and current customer behavior trends. The course also includes a practical field assignment focused on mapping a selected retail network. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of ethics and corporate social responsibility in modern retail business.
