The main objective of this course is to prepare students for future economists and managers, and to within their business activities primarily take into account a very important aspect, which is sustainable, socio - economic and environmentally balanced development, which for decades has been very  important part of not only business, but also national and international development strategies. This objective will be realized through familiarizing students with the basic principles, principles, aims and objectives of sustainable development , its origins, historical development, key strategic documents, UR indicators and also indicators of sustainable consumption, production and green growth in relation to the Europe 2020 strategy and standardized indicator according to the OECD . Will be an important part of the knowledge in the field of sustainable development tools, such as impact assessment of economic activities on the environment, rating and labeling of environmentally friendly products, green procurement, environmental management systems, environmental performance evaluation, Analysis of LCA, ecodesign and under.

Brief module description:

Explain the concept of sustainable development. Characteristics of the global problems of the world. The current state of the environment and the situation in the main economic sectors SR - production and non-production - in terms of sustainable development and the application of the principles of sustainable development. Human settlements in terms of sustainable development. Agenda 21 - a blueprint for sustainable development in environmental, economic, social and institutional spheres.
