Course period: 1.
Year of study: 1. FTS, 2. PTS
Compulsory course

Goal of the course is to provide a statistical basis, focusing on their economic applications. After completing the course students will be able to adequately describe the essential characteristics of data sets, explain the principles of random sampling and statistical inference, examine the linear relationship between two variables using regression and correlation analysis.

Brief module description:

  • Basic statistical concepts, sorting, quantiles, moments, mean values, names, variability, slantiness and spine.
  • Statistical induction, random selection, point estimates, interval estimates, reliability intervals for moderate ZS, reliability intervals for ZS scattering and relative abundance of alternative character.
  • Hypothesis testing, some parametric tests, x2 -test good compliance.
  • Analysis of multi-dimensional files.
  • Correlation analysis, regression analysis, Anova.
