Three days of inspiring discussions, fresh perspectives, and international encounters. From 2 to 4 September 2026, Hradec Králové hosted the 34th International Scientific Conference IDIMT – Interdisciplinary Information Management Talks, organised by our Faculty.
This year’s conference, centred around the theme “Resilience: ICT, Business and Society,”addressed current issues and brought new perspectives on the challenges connecting information technologies, business, and society. Once again, IDIMT provided a platform for presenting research findings, engaging in expert discussions, and exchanging knowledge within an international academic environment.

Over the three conference days, more than 50 participants came together at IDIMT 2026, with approximately 50 research contributions p
resented. Among the presenters were also doctoral students from our Faculty, who had the opportunity to showcase the results of their research, receive valuable feedback, and discuss their work within an international academic community.
Bringing together experienced experts and early-career researchers is one of the important aspects of the conference. For more than three decades, IDIMT has provided a space for professional dialogue, the exchange of experience and knowledge, the development of new academic connections, and international collaboration.
More than just an academic programme
Informal gatherings are also an integral part of IDIMT, giving participants an opportunity to continue conversations beyond the conference rooms, make new connections, and build relationships that can lead to future collaboration.
This year’s programme also included a visit to Hrádek u Nechanic, a romantic château known as “A Piece of England in East Bohemia.” Thanks to its distinctive architecture and atmosphere, the château has also become a popular location for Czech, Czechoslovak, and international filmmakers. Films and fairy tales such as Atentát, Princ a Večernice, and
Tmavomodrý svět were filmed here, as well as international productions – one of the best known being From Hell, starring Johnny Depp.
IDIMT continues – see you in 2027
The story of IDIMT does not end with its 34th edition. The 35th International Scientific
Conference IDIMT will begin on 8 September 2027, and we are already looking forward to bringing the academic and professional community together once again.
