Business Economics and Management
BEM Graduate Profile
Graduates of the study programme Business Economics and Management in the field of study Economics and Management will gain all the prerequisites to be able critically analyse the macroeconomic, microeconomic and internal environment of the company with emphasis on corporate economic and managerial problems and processes. They will learn to synthesize knowledge of economics, economy, management, accounting, and economic analysis. They are able to identify and solve basic social problems and propose practical solutions based on economic and managerial principles. They have an adequate level of economic, managerial, and financial literacy, they have good information literacy and are able to communicate in a foreign language. They also have basic knowledge of microeconomics, macroeconomics, management, accounting, taxes, as well as knowledge of other economic disciplines, e. g. finance and business sciences. They have practice-oriented applicable knowledge of mathematics, statistics, operational analysis, and financial-economic analysis. They have practical skills in analytical techniques and statistical methods applied to current economic problems. They can effectively communicate and present the results of analysis and proposed solutions. They work in teams, but also solve problems independently, take responsibility for the results of their work and the results of the team. The selected subjects of the study plan allow to develop their creativity and teamwork.
As the only graduates of economic faculties in the region of Eastern Slovakia, they gain a competitive advantage by taking a state accounting examination, which will support them in the field of accounting in manufacturing companies, but also in companies with different business and service activities. Graduates are oriented primarily to the position of business economist and manager who is capable of solving economic problems at all levels of management. They are also applicable as managers in small and medium-sized enterprises, or middle managers in larger companies, professional workers in administration.
BEM Trajectory
The trajectory, sequence of courses, is constructed in the study plan in the interest of gradual, continuous acquisition of knowledge, especially from compulsory courses, with emphasis on profile courses. After mastering them, the student has the necessary base of knowledge and skills relevant to the professions for which the graduate is prepared from the point of view of application. The study plan provides the student with the possibility of variability in creating the trajectory of the study through the selection of compulsory elective courses and the choice of optional courses. In the case of this study program, by choosing the subjects business ethics, auditing, finance, corporate social responsibility, the student expands his knowledge in the field of accounting, auditing and business. If the student chooses the subjects of economic policy, business statistics, crisis management, by mastering them he will expand his knowledge in the field of business management in the context of the national economics. If the student chooses the subjects business etiquette, production management, international marketing and intercultural communication in marketing, he will acquire more complex knowledge in the field of sales, marketing and public relations.
Responding to students' requests the Faculty of Business Economics of the EU offers under this programme a selective subject called "equalizer". An ambition of this subject is to balance the knowledge of enrolled students who come from various types of high schools with different level of knowledge especially in mathematics.

The recommended study plan is comparable to the plans of renowned local and international universities, which allows part of the study to be carried out as part of mobility programs at universities chosen by students. FBE EU significantly supports such trajectories, in which the student has the opportunity to acquire ECTS credits at another university using mobility projects and programs.. When recognizing studies, the procedure is in accordance with Article 10 of the Academic Regulations of the Univesity of Economics in Bratislava. The faculty offers the opportunity to complete a part of the studies at a partner university within the possibility of obtaining double degrees from the University of Huddersfield.

Commercial Entrepreneurship
CE Graduate Profile
Graduates of the study programme Commercial Entrepreneurship in the field of study Economics and Management can analyze business-economic problems, as well as propose possibilities for using business opportunities within various types of business operations, and present them to relevant stakeholders or the professional public. Based on knowledge about the economics of the business entity and the environment in which it operates, they can propose solutions for the optimal functioning of the business entity and implement them. They have knowledge of methods of communication and cooperation with managers and specialists in other professions. They draw on insights and knowledge from macroeconomics and microeconomics, management, accounting, business economics, mathematics, as well as statistics. Graduates are able to communicate professionally in two foreign languages, have knowledge of information and communication technologies and are able to navigate the relevant legal regulations. They are ready to work effectively as team leaders, organize the work of subordinates, as well as their own professional and career growth.

The trajectory, sequence of courses, is constructed in the study plan in the interest of gradual, continuous acquisition of knowledge, especially from compulsory courses, with emphasis on profile courses. After mastering them, the student has the necessary base of knowledge and skills relevant to the professions for which the graduate is prepared from the point of view of application. The study plan provides the student with the possibility of variability in creating the trajectory of the study through the selection of compulsory elective courses and the choice of optional courses. In the case of this study program, by choosing the subjects of business etiquette, management information technology, management theory, crisis management, corporate social responsibility, intercultural communication in marketing, public relations, the graduate is prepared to work as a marketing and product specialist, as well as a public relations specialist, or a specialist for customer and brand care. Due to his extensive knowledge in the field of market research, he can also apply as a marketing analyst and market research specialist. If he chooses the subjects of economic policy, management information technology, finance, management theory, crisis management, business ethics, he will primarily have the competences to work in the position of a specialist in the development and coordination of a business network, the implementation of business measures, the development of industry and trade, foreign trade policy or a supervisor of customer center.

Corporate Financial Management
CFM Graduate Profile
Graduates of the study programme Corporate Financial Management in the field of study Economics and Management have professional knowledge and competences in the field of economics and management, oriented towards the enterprise, but especially in the areas of strategic management and planning, controlling, finance and financial management and others. They know specific concepts, procedures, processes and connections between them. Based on the acquired knowledge, acquired conceptual apparatus, graduates are able to identify, design and apply creative solutions to problems and draw conclusions with regard to the object of research. They have developed communication and analytical skills necessary for solving business problems. They are able to apply for top management and professional positions. They understand new trends and procedures in financial management and can independently identify their risks or impacts on business practice. They are able to present and defend their own ideas individually and within a team, even in a foreign language, they critically evaluate specific situations and take responsibility for assigned tasks or projects based on acquired competencies and skills.
Graduates are able to work as business economists and managers at all levels of management, for all types of companies. They can also work in the field of financial services and in the banking sector.
CFM Trajectory
The trajectory, sequence of courses, is constructed in the study plan in the interest of gradual, continuous acquisition of knowledge, especially from compulsory courses, with emphasis on profile courses. After mastering them, the student has the necessary base of knowledge and skills relevant to the professions for which the graduate is prepared from the point of view of application. The study plan provides the student with the possibility of variability in creating the trajectory of the study through the selection of compulsory elective courses. In the case of this study program, by choosing the subjects of hospitality management, economics and management in health care, game theory, environmental economics, organizational behaviour, international business, the student expands his knowledge in the field of health care management, strategy creation and planning. If he chooses the subjects of communication and management skills, digital economy, expertise, international business, administrative capacities for ESIF, debt financing, financial econometrics, by mastering them he will broaden his horizons in the field of modern digital technologies, management skills and financial-analytical competences.
Particularly gifted students have the option of choosing the "HONORIS" subject, which they can complete throughout their studies and gain a competitive advantage on the labor market by acquiring specific knowledge, skills and competences in connection with economic practice, still within the field of study.

CBM Graduate Profile
Graduates of the study programme Corporate Business and Marketing in the field of study Economics and Management are able to analyze and critically evaluate the problems of marketing management and business systems of the company, design and implement specific tools of the marketing mix. Assess the interaction of market participants with a complex marketing environment according to the latest knowledge of marketing theory. The emphasis of the teaching is on the graduates to gain knowledge in the field of application of marketing management, retail management, marketing tools, creation of marketing concepts, international business, operation of business systems that will enable them to successfully manage teams of cooperating entities in this area, design large projects independently and take responsibility for complex solutions. The professional profile is based on the application of a set of qualitative and quantitative methods in marketing, design of marketing concepts, formulation and verification of hypotheses from market data, experimental procedures in evaluating the behavior of consumers and businesses in the market, application of new information technologies in trade.
Graduates find employment primarily in middle and higher management positions in the field of trade and marketing. The inflow of foreign direct investments also in the trade and services sector creates prerequisites for graduates to apply in companies operating not only in the national, but above all in the international environment.

In the case of this study programme by choosing courses such as professional communication in a foreign language, event marketing, direct marketing, digital marketing, new trends in marketing, green marketing, digital economics, the student can after the end of the study focus more on marketing and promotion. If the student chooses courses in business administration, consumer theories and realities, consumer policy, game theory, communication and managerial skills, organizational behavior, environmental economics, expertise, innovation in business practice, so their mastering creates the preconditions for employment in the field of business and services.
