University of Huddersfield

in addition to the Slovak bachelor's degree from FBE EUBA, you can also obtain the English bachelor's degree Bachelor of Arts with Honors, abbreviated BA (Hons.),
you study the first two years at FBE EUBA, the third at the University of Huddersfield,
you don't have to pay tuition for 3 years, but only for one, because the University of Huddersfield will recognize your first two years at FBE EUBA,
you do not have to repeat a year or interrupt your studies, because upon your return we will recognize your third year from the University of Huddersfield.

Within the framework of the Action Austria - Slovakia, cooperation in science and education, call for applications for scholarships and project cooperation for stays in Austria is currently open.

Those interested in SCHOLARSHIP STAY in Austria can apply in the following categories:

Scholarships for 2nd-level university students to prepare a diploma thesis (1 150 Eur/month),
Research scholarships for doctoral students (1 150 Eur/month),
Research scholarships for scientific and pedagogical workers within 10 years of completing their PhD. / non-habilitated (1 400 Eur/month).

The main schedule of this call is:

Application deadline: 15/10/2023
Selection of scholarship recipients: early December
Start of stay: no earlier than three months from the closing date

In the category of short-term scholarships (stays of 1-3 days; 90 Eur/day), applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Students, doctoral students, scientific and teaching staff from state, public or private universities in Slovakia and the Slovak Academy of Sciences can apply for the scholarship.

In PROJECT COOPERATION, you can apply in the following categories:

targeted project support – is about strengthening cooperation between Slovakia and Austria in important areas of higher education and research. Currently, projects from the following areas can be supported: the organization of Austrian-Slovak summer language courses ("Sommerkollegs"), the organization of Austrian-Slovak trainings and doctorates under double supervision (max. 60 000 Eur for 36 months, but max. EUR 20,000 per year - 12 consecutive months),
support of initiative projects - within this area of support, project partners choose the topics and activities they need to fulfill their goals (the so-called "bottom-up" approach), while these projects must be in line with the goals of the Action (max. 6 000 Eur per year - 12 consecutive months).

The basic schedule of this call is:

Application deadline: 15/10/2023
Project approval: early December
Start of project implementation: no earlier than four months from the closing date

Expected date of the next call: spring 2027

The CEEPUS program is a multi-state exchange program, specially adapted to the needs of countries of Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe. Its goal is to provide new impulses for the international exchange of students and teachers and thus reduce asymmetric development in this region. Program enables development of cooperation between Slovak and foreign universities by creating academic networks, within which scientific and research cooperation takes place and the mobility of students, doctoral students and university teachers is realized. It is financed from the state budget on the basis of agreements of the ministries of education of the countries participating in the program.

Following countries are currently activitely participating in the program: Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech republic, Croatia, Hungary, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.

SAIA, n. o. is the National agency of the CEEPUS program in Slovakia. The agency regularly inform about current rules of implementation of the program (networks of cooperating universities, grant contributions, application deadlines...) on its website www.saia.sk.

Students of the University of Economics in Bratislava have the opportunity to participate in an internship abroad through the Erasmus + programme even after graduation. EU-funded graduate internships under the Erasmus + programme are organized by EUBA in cooperation with WorkSpace Europe. For more information on WorkSpace Europe, visit www.workspaceeurope.sk.

Within the ERASMUS + programme, as a student you can complete 3 basic types of mobility of the KA131 action:

Erasmus + student mobility (you are studying, for example, a semester at a foreign university - this page is about this type of mobilities),
Erasmus + internship abroad (internship in a company abroad - more info here),
Erasmus + graduate internship (also an internship in a company abroad, but you apply as a student and go to it as a graduate - more info here or on the website of the WorkSpace Europe consortium, which provides these internships for the University of Economics in Bratislava),

or mobility of action KA171:

Erasmus + student mobility outside the European Union (you are studying, for example, a semester at a foreign university outside the European Union - more info here).

Who can apply and where to study

Who can apply?

full-time or part-time student of any degree (I., II. and III.), who:
- at the time of departure has successfully completed the 1st year of the I. degree of study (he is enrolled in the 2nd year of the I. degree of study or higher),
- and has not yet exceeded the allowed length of participation (at each level of study student may be at Erasmus+ for 12 months, including internships in companies),
the transfer of the subject does not disqualify you, but for certainty contact the Vice-Dean for International Relations.

Which university can I go to?

you can find a general list of partner universities on the website of our university, you can apply for all these universities in a corrently opened regular (1st) call,
we recommend that you look at the study programs / courses offered by foreign universities so that the subjects match as closely as possible the ones you should have at our faculty.

How to apply and the selection procedure

Nomination of students

each faculty of the University of Economics in Bratislava can nominate a certain number of students and unlimited number of alternates,
the nominees will definitely travel, the travel of alternates depends on the ongoing drawing of funds earmarked for Erasmus+ at the university, as well as on a possible increase in funding for Erasmus+ by SAAIC, but in recent years every alternate has traveled from our faculty.

How do I apply?

you create an application in the Study Abroad system for the academic year 2026/2027, within the application you also fill in / upload:
- CV in English language,
- motivation video (2 minutes) or motivation letter in English language,
- a preliminary overview of the subjects you want to study abroad (in the case of doctoral students, a scientific plan in English signed by the supervisor),
do not forget to "send" the application in Study Abroad,
the deadline for applying for mobility in the academic year 2026/2027 in the regular (1st) call was February 13, 2026.

Will I be nominated or an alternate?

this will be decided by a selection procedure in which the members of the selection committee will ask you a few questions in the language of study abroad and evaluate the documents submitted by you.

Before travelling to Erasmus+

expect instructions from the Department of International Mobility (OMM) at the University of Economics in Bratislava, which will come to you by e-mail in the middle of March (in a regular call), gradually upload all the necessary documents to Study Abroad,
you will also be contacted by a foreign university with instructions (usually filling in enrollment sheets, etc.) - pay attention to deadlines!,
with the faculty you have to solve the Learning Agreement and release from study:
- Learning Agreement:
  - on Erasmus+ you must complete at least 5 courses or 30 credits (otherwise you will have a reduced grant),
  - you fill in the Online Learning Agreement (OLA) at www.learning-agreement.eu and the vice-dean for international relations automatically receives it for signature, the vice-dean either approves (signs) the OLA or returns it for revision,
  - you upload the signed Learning Agreement to Study Abroad,
- release from study:
  - After the vice-dean for international relations signs the Learning Agreement and OMM issues you a Confirmation of study stay abroad, you address the dean of the faculty Request for Release from Study,
after completing all the documents, OMM will sign a Financial Agreement with you (be careful, you may not travel to Erasmus+ without this agreement!),
If there is a problem communicating with a foreign university, do not hesitate to contact the vice-dean for international relations or OMM.

During the Erasmus+

if the subject you are to study does not open or overlaps with another subject, you contact the vice-dean for international relations and select a replacement subject together,
in the event of such a change of subjects after its approval by the vice-dean for international relations, do not forget to:
- fill in the part of the Learning Agreement called Changes during the mobility,
- and send it to the Vice-Dean for International Relations for signature,
in case of problems, contact the vice-dean for international relations or OMM,
besides, you are just studying, getting to know the country, new people, enjoying student life.

After returning from the Erasmus+

fill in the Student Report via the EU Survey online portal and take the final online language test via the OLS portal (links will be sent to you by e-mail upon return from mobility),
you address the dean of the faculty Application for recognition of examinations passed abroad, to which you attach:
- original Transcript of Records (unsigned transcripts of records from the study system (equivalent to AIS) are not accepted),
- the original Letter of Confirmation,
- send the Proof of Recognition form by e-mail to the vice-dean for international relations,
after the signature of the dean the study department will issue you a Decision on the recognition of examinations (or a Decision on the recognition of examinations and the prescription of differential examinations),
you upload all the necessary documents to Study Abroad and contact the OMM coordinator,
in the case of prescribing differential examinations (only after prescribing them, ie after receiving a decision) you contact the relevant examiners,
in case of any ambiguities or problems, contact the Vvice-dean for international relations.
