Poďakovanie za dotáciu mesta Michalovce Nadácia profesora Čolláka už vyše 20 rokov finančne a organizačne zabezpečuje prevádzku michalovského pedagogického pracoviska Podnikovohospodárskej fakulty Ekonomickej univerzity v Bratislave so sídlom v Košiciach.

Ing. Marek Meheš, PhD.
správca Nadácie profesora Čolláka a manažér pedagogického pracoviska PHF EU v Michalovciach

Ing. Marek Meheš, PhD.
správca Nadácie profesora Čolláka a manažér pedagogického pracoviska PHF EU v Michalovciach.

Information on the pedagogical branch in Michalove

In May 1994, the branch of the Faculty of Business Economics in Michalovce was established by signing an agreement between the town of Michalovce and the Faculty of Business Economics in Košice. The opening ceremony in September 1994 was attended by representatives of the state headed by the President of the Slovak Republic and by a number of academic officials headed by the Rector of the University. The beginnings of the branch were not easy, but the enormous enthusiasm of the city, district, faculty and branch staff contributed to the fact that it has been thirty years we pursue teaching here. The branch – currently a pedagogical facility – educates universally prepared experts in the field of economics for the needs of the region. Teaching at the pedagogical branch is identical to teaching at the faculty in Košice. Lectures and seminars are provided by professors, associate professors and assistant professors from the faculty in Košice or other universities. Teachers also provide consultations to students.

Modes of study at the pedagogical branch of the FBE of the UE in Michalovce

At the pedagogical branch of the FBE of the UE in Michalovce, it is currently possible to study at two levels of university study.

  1. level – bachelor degree study – full-time and part-time mode of study field of study: Economy and Management, programme of study – Business Economics and Management
  2. level – engineer degree study – full-time and part-time mode of study field of study: Economy and Management, programme of study – Corporate Financial Management

Profiles of graduates

  • Profile of a graduate from the 1. (bachelor degree) level of study
  • Profile of a graduate from the 2. (engineer) level of study

Due to the professional communication skills in foreign languages, graduates of both levels of study will successfully find their employment in the international economic environment. Students often meet experts from practice and media personalities from various areas of economic and social life. Cooperation with companies in the region is reflected in solving common problems also in the form of bachelor's and master's theses, which helps to make our graduates successful in practice. Our students are also successful in the Student's Scientific and Vocational Activity. They regularly score not only in the faculty but also in the university and international round. In the building of the pedagogical branch of the FBE of the UE in Michalovce, there are 6 lecture halls, a spacious auditorium, two computer classrooms connected to the Internet, a study room and a common room. Students have the opportunity to work on computers throughout the school year, not only at the time of classes but also after them. Accommodation for students from other towns is problem-free. Services of the town Michalovce, Ltd. provide our students with a sufficient number of accommodation places every year. Students live in double and triple rooms with fittings. The dormitory is connected to the Internet. For sports activities, students use several gyms, an ice rink, and a swimming pool.
